The measurement process used by this application is based on the principle of optical triangulation. This maximizes the precision of this Poly Works Inspector. The data and images, generated automatically, are analyzed and evaluated within a fraction of a second, utilizing digital image processing. The application covers the results of the information, statistically. The 3D-digitizing of arbitrary object, such as work pieces, models and moulds, can be resized, without actual contact with the object, for usage in several domains.

Poly Works Modeler


The offered Poly Works Modeler generates manufacturable class A polygonal models. It converts aligned point clouds into highly accurate polygonal models using PolyWorks' unique tolerance-based adaptive meshing technology. With high efficiency it reconstructs perfect polygonal features from imperfectly digitized geometry. Application of this product is found in of all typical CAD operations directly to polygonal models and prepares these models for a wide variety of manufacturing applications such as milling, rapid prototyping and inspection.
The product creates smooth and logical NURBS surfaces easily editable in CAD software. Using its automatic feature-tracking tools, it creates curve networks containing center curves, fillet tangent lines and sharp edge curves, with utmost ease and efficiency. It restricts the automatic surfacing process to predefined curves and controls the rigidity of the fitted NURBS surfaces. Optimization of efforts in the downstream CAD applications, minimize the number of control points and patches, maximizing the smoothness.
Further, the product is used for 3D Digitizing. The product allows direct scanning from within its user interface, using several plug-INS. The Poly-work is optimized, for reasons of handling datasets of up to 100 million points efficiently.
